Early American Furniture & Smalls from the Estate of a Glens Falls attorney. 19thC English Horse Racing prints as well as Remington & Russell Western prints from the Estate of a Saratoga physician. Good Victorian from a lovely Galway home now downsizing. A little military and other smalls from a Poultney VT home. AND all the better smalls from The Estate of John J. Derby of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
AND FEATURING the extensive Game Room/Advertising and Saratoga Springs related (strong focus on original furnishings from Saratoga’s historic Riley’s Lake House & Casino) collection of Michael Zappone of Saratoga Lake. Mike and his wife Carol, avid collectors for almost 40 years, are selling their large gracious home and we are privileged to offer their fine collections to the next generations of collectors.

Good early figured cherry graduated 4 drawer French foot chest. Handsome finely upholstered c.1835 carved mahogany frame sofa w/carved winged clawfeet. C.1840 cherry case chest w/tiger maple drawer fronts & tiger half columns. Hepplewhite mahogany Pembroke table. Smaller size early graduated 4 drawer cherry chest. Comb back Windsor rocking chair w/arms. Pretty c.1840 extra wide 2 drawer stand w/birdseye maple drawers. Interesting c.1850 mahogany paymaster’s or accountant’s desk. Good c.1890 2 part 6’8” wide workbench. Pine 1 drawer lift lid blanket chest. Refinished dry sink with display shelves above. Refinished pine dt blanket box w/strap hinges & till. VICTORIAN: 2 excellent original varnish Globe Wernicke 4 section lawyer’s bookcases. Good manageable size 2 part oak cylinder roll secretary desk. Fine neo-classical red marble pedestal. 48” round oak dining table with GUTSY carved lion’s heads & carved clawfeet pedestal base. Eastlake mahogany sideboard with triple mirrored, carved, columned top. 2 Eastlake pier mirrors. Small size c.1910 refinished mahogany settee with matching platform rocker – both nicely upholstered in soft yellow floral brocade. Victorian walnut frame sofa w/carved grapes crest nicely re-upholstered in rose crushed velvet. FINE SELECTION ANTIQUE WICKER to incl: excellent 1920’s matching 5pc porch set (sofa w/4 sturdy armchairs). Good 1920’s 3pc porch set (sofa w/sturdy armchair & rocking chair). 4 good lamp or plant tables/stands. 2 hard to find 1920’s floor lamps.  Scarce 6’ tall 1920’s enclosed Cabana chair. CLOCKS to incl 2 large c.1825 English Grandfather’s clocks – each w/orig painted dials (see website). Good C. & L.C. Ives triple decker clock. Cottage clock by “New England Clock Co.” BAROMETER: fine 19thC rosewood barometer signed “Goupillot Fils Jersey”.
 
STAINED GLASS WINDOWS: attractive c.1920 stained leaded glass 6’7” x 4’11” window depicting stream in forest with large florals (needs restoration, professionally crated for easier transport). 1920;s/30’s(?) 3’ x 16” stained leaded “Goodhope Confectioner” store window (needs restoration – was an old Mechanicville business).

ART Impressive 41” Art Noveau bronze standing figural female newel post lamp signed Aug. Moreau w/gold iridescent art glass shades. Fine watercolor of Arab horseman signed “G. Gabani Roma: (Giuseppe, artist of note, 1846-1899). Large o/c cattle grazing on mountainside signed D. Sherrin (Daniel, English, 1868-1940), cleaned & relined), 2 maritime oils signed Louis Pelky (listed, Am). Charming 9” bronze of young girl holding cat, & more paintings/Art.

Various Saratoga mineral springs bottles, & more Saratoga. Scarce “Saratoga Chips” sliced plug tobacco tin. ORIGINAL POKER CHIPS from: Newman’s Lake House, Canfield Casino, and Meadowbrook Lake House.
HISTORIC RILEY’S LAKE HOUSE material incl: manageable size way cool neon “Riley’s” sign. 100+ ft classic Art Deco railing used to divide dining/bar/entertainment areas. Iconic 9’ Art Deco hanging lighting fixture (the focal point of Riley’s Grand Ballroom). Spotting stands & window “spy hole” used to spot cheaters in gambling area. 5 cast cement Art Deco sunrise panels from Riley’s entrance façade. Riley’s Podium. Art Deco dressing room mirror.
