FURNITURE Early/Country to incl: sweet c.1835 Country Sheraton cherry & birdseye maple lady’s dressing table. No 5 Shaker rocker. 37” wide mammy’s rocking bench in yellow. Miniature (ht 20”, w 22”) pumpkin pine lift lid blanket box on bracket base. Nice small size butchering bench. Good c.1850 pumpkin pine 5’9” 4 door cupboard. Dovetailed pine dough box w/lid. 5’10” pine chimney cupboard. C.1810 country Hepplewhite mahogany swing leg drop leaf table w/line inlay on legs. 6’6” x 4’ 19thC yellow & brown grain painted pine single door wardrobe/cupboard. MODERN: modern Kromski flax wheel with Pat Green carder & accessories. VICTORIAN: hell of a 7’ tall golden oak sideboard w/carvings, rope twist columns, and curved beveled glass collector’s cabinet as part of its triple mirrored top. Good 36” green/brown onyx pedestal. Fancy oak lift lid ice box. 4 section mahogany lawyer’s stack bookcase. Impressive c.1900 English 6’11” mahogany 2 part bonnet top Chippendale highboy. 3 door oak ice box. Oak curved glass china closet. Eastlake MT stand. Golden oak chifferobe. Oak sideboard w/mirror. Decently upholstered Victorian sofa w/carved roses crests. Danner revolving bookcase (needs repair), pretty golden oak rocking chairs, etal.

CLOCKS Superb 17” French marble case Jape Freres dated 1855 movement clock with time, day, date, month, and moon phase functions. Fine Tiffany & Co 16 ½” brass & curved beveled glass crystal regulator clock. LeCoultre Atmos clock. Good c.1825 Walker & Hughes Birmingham 7’10” tall case grandfather’s clock, the original hand painted face showing seconds, date, and moon phase functions.

 

STEINS: 5 old Mettlach steins. 6 more old German steins (1 w/lithophane). ALSO 4 modern (c.1980) Mettlach limited edition steins.

 

MUSICAL: minty Gibson style a Number 30921 mandolin/guitar. Bruno mandolin w/m-o-pearly inlay. 2 violins with signed “Durro” and “Tourte” violin bows. Ukelele.

STAMPS: SIGNIFICANT ESTATE’S STAMP COLLECTION Largely collected from the late 1950’s to about 1970 by a gentleman who died in 1989. Good American stamps from 19thC to Duck stamps include minty Air Mail & Special Delivery. FINE FRENCH STAMPS of special interest to this collector. Significant English including the first English stamp.  Much South American. Some quality Italian.

    We will sell this collection in LARGE LOTS, boiling the whole collection down to 15-20 lots. All American will be sold as 2 or 3 lots. All French as 2 or 3 lots. All England & stamps from countries formerly part of British Empire as 1 or 2 lots. MUCH South American as 1 lot.

    At some point a different collector, apparently using 2002 Scott’s stamp reference books, went through much of this collection noting Scott’s stamp numbers, condition, rarity, & values. Many individual stamps valued in the several hundreds of dollars each, several over $1000 each, and some simply noted as “Rare” or “can’t be found”. Many noted as “Mint” and “Mint Never Hinged”. All these stamps will be sold as part of the large lots as noted above.

Fine pair English c.1900 inlaid mahogany knife boxes. Bennington book flask. 6” oval finger lapped Shaker type box. Exc early inlaid snuff box. 19thC country needlework picture w/deer. Charming youth quilt. Nice calligraphy with eagle image. Minty hand stitched graphic quilt. Early sampler. ORIENTAL incl fine gilt scenic decorated black lacquer tray, pair carved 7” bamboo brush pots, and 13” chien-de-blanc porcelain figure of the Buddha. Good yellow vest “Tammany Bank” and elephant w/moveable trunk mechanical bank. Still banks. “Grandma Moses – My Life’s History” book signed & inscribed by Grandma Moses w/related ephemera. Large hound handled rockingham pitcher w/hunting image. Good 19thC wedding dress. Fine/unusual small size trunk for me’ lady’s hat.
