SIGNIFICANT ESTATE’S STAMP COLLECTION Largely collected from the late 1950’s to about 1970 by a gentleman who died in 1989. Good American stamps from 19thC to Duck stamps include minty Air Mail & Special Delivery. FINE FRENCH STAMPS of special interest to this collector. Significant English including the first English stamp. Much South American. Some quality Italian. We will sell this collection in LARGE LOTS, boiling the whole collection down to 15-20 lots. All American will be sold as 2 or 3 lots. All French as 2 or 3 lots. All England & stamps from countries formerly part of British Empire as 1 or 2 lots. MUCH South American as 1 lot. At some point a different collector, apparently using 2002 Scott’s stamp reference books, went through much of this collection noting Scott’s stamp numbers, condition, rarity, & values. Many individual stamps valued in the several hundreds of dollars each, several over $1000 each, and some simply noted as “Rare” or “can’t be found”. Many noted as “Mint” and “Mint Never Hinged”.
